First Preorder Metroboard Slim Electric Longboards started shipping this week!

This week we started shipping our first preorder Metroboard Slim Electric Longboards! The weather this week was very wet in the Portland, Oregon, area where we build them, but we managed to squeeze in a few test rides during some short dry spells. The first few boards take quite a bit longer to build as we fine tune the manufacturing process, but we are very excited to finally get this product into our customers hands (and feet)! We appreciate our customers' patience as we ramp up production. We think you will be very pleased with the end result!

Introducing the Metroboard Outrunner Electric Skateboard weighing as little as 15.3 lbs with a 15 mile range

Here are some of the amazing new features:

Caliber 9″ Standard Trucks: These well respected stylish trucks offer a good balance of stability and maneuverability

97 mm (BLACK) and 83 mm (CLEAR BLUE) 75A Super High Rebound Wheels: With a rebound of over 80%, these shock absorbing wheels provide a super smooth ride on both smooth and rougher asphalt. Branded for Metroboard!

6374 Brushless Outrunner Motor rated for 3000 Watts Peak Power (600 Watts Continuous): weighs just 1.8 lbs (3 lbs lighter than existing motor), and is just 1/3 the size! Also, super quiet with a futuristic sound to it!

New and Improved Brushless Motor Controller (MADE IN THE USA): Completely redesigned from the ground up for improved reliability and new features such as the ability to drive up to seven 3 Watt High Power LEDs.

High Power Front and Rear Lighting: Two High Power 1 Watt WHITE LEDs in the front riser and two High Power 1 Watt RED LEDs in the rear riser give you a super high visibility front headlight and rear tail light, and also make our new custom translucent risers glow! Not only will others see you, but you will see the road ahead of you thanks to their incredible high power output!

Translucent Risers: Not only do these risers glow with our new High Power 1 Watt LEDs inside, they also house/hide the IR wireless receiver for a super streamlined look!

Weight: Starting at just 15.3 lbs with 83 mm wheels. The 97 mm wheels add 1.0 lb.

The New Metroboard Slim Electric Longboard!

New for Fall 2014, we are proud to release our brand new Metroboard Slim Electric Longboard. The Metroboard Slim has been completely redesigned from the grounds up for a truly unique carving and transportation solution that takes the Metroboard Electric Skateboard to a whole new level of fun, styling, and portability.

Her are some of the amazing new features:

HoneySkateboards 40” Velocity V2 Deck: This beautiful deck with wood pin striping looks gorgeous and carves like a dream thanks to its broad 10″ width across the entire riding platform.

Caliber II 10” 50° Reverse Kingpin Trucks: These well respected trucks are known for their super smooth carving and beautiful sculpted looks. Combined with the Honey Velocity V2 deck, you have, to put it simply, a “Carving Machine”.
